My Story
My name is Taylor Angelise, and I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner (CNP, NNCP), and Therapeutic Herbalist.
I graduated with honours from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where I later continued my studies and received an additional certification in Nutrition and Mental Health. I also completed my education at the Wild Rose College of Herbal Medicine, earning my designation as a Certified Practical Herbalist.
But my journey into this work didn't begin in a classroom, it began with my own struggle.
Finding My Own Path
At the age of seventeen, I was hospitalized with anorexia nervosa.
What followed were some of the darkest years of my life. I felt isolated, exhausted, and completely disconnected from myself. My family fought tirelessly to find answers and sought every form of professional help they could. Together, we explored countless treatment options, meal plans, and medications, hoping that something would finally help me heal.
While many of those experiences were valuable, I still felt like there was a deeper piece of the puzzle that I hadn't yet discovered.
Eventually, I reached a point where I knew I needed to take my own journey.
I packed my bags and moved to Mexico.
People often ask me why.
The honest answer is, I was simply searching for peace. I no longer wanted to be looked at like a sick object… measured, weighed, medicated. I needed out and I believed that if my body truly wasn't going to keep going, I wanted to spend whatever time I had left somewhere beautiful.
What I never expected was that I would begin to find myself again.
Away from the pressures, expectations, the impersonal doctors offices and the constant battle with food. I found a new appreciation for nourishment, for commuinity and for the art of letting go. I learned that true healing happens when you can be fully seen, fully supported, and fully accepted exactly where you are.
It was there that I realized I needed to take a different path one that looked beyond symptoms and explored the relationship between food, the body, the nervous system, and mental well-being.
